Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures...Thirty-three of Them! :-)

Hello Po!

So the pictures took up all my letter writing time but a promise is a promise! (You're welcome, Mom!)  I just want to  tell you all at home how I am feeing here. I know that Heavenly Father is here for me every step of the way and that I can always rely on him for strength! I know that's true for all of you as well! I love you all and love hearing from keep writing!
 Love, Sister Miller

P.S.  If you have some quick and easy recipes with just a few ingredients, I would love it if you would shoot me an email. I've never really had to cook my own food before and am feeling challenged!  Thanks in advance for your help!
You can email me at this address:

Sept. 8, 2013  Not ALL of these bags are mine but I have to admit, I think I may have over packed just a little bit! I stayed up until 3 or 4 in the morning trying to get everything to fit and it did! Whoot Whoot!!
This is my Branch President's wife, Sister Anderson. I seriously love this woman! :)

On our way....Peace out MTC!!!
See ya on the other side of the world!!!

Sept. 10, 2013 Whaddup Hong Kong?!?
Did you notice we skipped a day here?  Yep, we lost Sept. 9th in the air!

My traditional Hong Kong breakfast.
The rest of my district opted for McDonald's but when in Hong Kong.....right?

Look at all those bricks of Ramen noodles!!!

We're in the PHILIPPINES.....and it's soooooo hot!!!

American-style pizza....YUM!
Not at all what I expected for my first real meal in the Philippines!

The busses here are called jeepneys and
have two benches along each side instead of seats down the middle.

This is a trike, basically a motor cycle with a side car that passengers ride in.
(Mom, doesn't this street look exactly like Belize?!?)

Sept. 12, 2013  This is my fist picture in my first area!  This is the boondocks as they call it here.  It's basically the mountains covered with lush greenery.  The first week I was DYING walking here because you really have to climb and the further up you go, the less of a trail there is.  After the typhoon, there was no trail at all!  It's a really long walk to get to any of the houses. I love walking here now because I've gotten used to it and it is so pretty.

Sept. 15, 2013  This is my first companion, Sister Leakehe, and she is from Utah.
She is also a Ute fan, but I'll forgive her for that!

Sept. 16, 2013  This is me being a real Filipino...carrying the groceries on my head!
I got some strange looks but I didn't care!

Sept. 21, 2013 These are some kiddos from a less-active family that we like to visit.

They are always so excited to share what they have read in the Book of Mormon.

Sept. 23, 2013 This is my desk area.  Trust me, it's not always this organized!

My note wall...It has grown exponentially since I took this picture!

Welcome to the laundry room!

And this, my fine-feathered friends, is the infamous bum sprayer!
Just push that black button, apply where needed, and you're good to go!

Sept. 24, 2013 The Zone...ready to go out and do some service after Typhoon Usagi!
Some nice action shots of my heavy lifting.  Heave.....

There used to be a wall here..... it's here!

All of the streets were like this...covered in mud and trash!

People just threw all of their things in the street for trash pickup
...which didn't come for over a week!

Sept. 25, 2013  Yep, I converted Sister Leakehe to my 'stocks n socks style!
Sept. 27, 2013  These pics are from Service Project #2.  We cleaned up a museum that had at least two feet of mud throughout when we got there.  It took us all day, but we got the place spotless!

I may have accidentally broken this guy's bad!!!

Sept. 27, 2013  A nice little surprise I found in my boot today.
He looks smaller squished...He was HUGE!!!
Sept. 28, 2013  The kids gave us these bracelets for Christmas!!  I love it :-)
Sept. 29, 2013 This is Sister Z at her baptism!

  1. Reading Sister Miller's letters and seeing these pictures just make my heart SOAR for her. Her joy and hardwork are just pouring out through her words. What an amazing missionary she is already. We love Sister Miller!!
